Kelly Clarkson just hit a major milestone—and she’s feeling all the emotions!
After missing several recent episodes, the 42-year-old singer and talk show host made her big return to The Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday, March 20, to celebrate the show’s 1,000th episode.
“Welcome to The Kelly Clarkson Show and our 1,000th episode,” Kelly began, beaming at the audience. “Our show premiered on September 9, 2019, with the help of some great friends. Over the next five-and-a-half years, we have made 999 episodes. I cannot believe today marks the 1,000th. It’s crazy.”
The momentous occasion gave Clarkson a chance to reflect on everything her show has accomplished. From interviewing A-list celebrities to spotlighting everyday heroes, she’s covered it all—including navigating the challenges of filming during the COVID-19 pandemic and relocating the entire show to New York City.
“For 1,000 episodes, we have laughed together, we have cried together with beautiful stories, sang together with some people, danced together, celebrated and competed together,” she shared, looking back on the journey.
Then, in a raw and heartfelt moment, Clarkson admitted that the road hasn’t always been easy.
“I’ve lost, alone, a lot, and along the way, we found comfort in one another,” the Grammy and Emmy winner confessed, her voice full of emotion.
Fans have long admired Clarkson’s openness about the ups and downs in her personal life, especially after her public divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2021. Through it all, her authenticity has been a defining part of her show’s success.
As she wrapped up her speech, Clarkson expressed gratitude to everyone who’s been part of the journey.
“I’m just so grateful to everyone who has been a part of this,” she said. “It has been such a cool time.”
To mark the 1,000th episode, The Kelly Clarkson Show pulled out all the stops, featuring special guests and revisiting some of the best moments from past seasons. Of course, no celebration would be complete without a signature Kellyoke performance, with Clarkson once again proving why she’s one of the best vocalists in the business.
After an emotional and inspiring episode, one thing is clear—Clarkson isn’t going anywhere. Whether she’s belting out powerhouse ballads or sharing heartfelt conversations, her impact on daytime television is undeniable. Here’s to the next 1,000 episodes!
