Kelsea Ballerini may be the ultimate supportive girlfriend, but she doesn’t actually watch her boyfriend Chase Stokes’ hit show Outer Banks. And she’s got a good reason for it!
The 31-year-old country star recently took to TikTok, using a filter to rank the characters from season four, part one of Outer Banks, which just dropped last week. However, she surprised fans by admitting that she doesn’t even watch the show. Despite not being a viewer, Kelsea took the time to praise the cast and each character while playfully acknowledging her lack of knowledge about the rankings.
Throughout the video, Kelsea encouraged her followers to “just ignore” her rankings, as she clearly doesn’t have much context. Instead, she focused on what she loves about the cast members. Naturally, when it came to ranking her boyfriend Chase Stokes, who plays the lead character John B, she saved him for the top spot.
Gushing over Chase, Kelsea said, “The bandana. The face. The… the him. The HIM. Ugh, we stan!” Her enthusiasm for her man was undeniable, even if she doesn’t tune into his show.
Fans were quick to comment, urging Kelsea to give Outer Banks a watch. In response, Kelsea revealed the real reason behind why she avoids it. “Because he and I have a deal!” she playfully replied in the comments. But she reassured fans that she’s seen snippets of the new season, saying, “I’ve seen so much of this season and it’s badass 🤍 NO FURTHER QUESTIONS YOUR HONOR.”
It seems like the couple has a lighthearted agreement to keep some space between work and personal life. Even though Kelsea isn’t glued to the screen, she’s clearly proud of Chase’s work and loves showing her support in other ways.
In addition to cheering Chase on, Kelsea is also getting her feet wet in the acting world. She’s set to guest star on the new show Doctor Odyssey, adding a new role to her already impressive resume. Fans may also remember her appearance on the ABC drama Nashville, where she played herself.
