Kendrick Lamar is set to take the stage at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, and he’s bringing a special guest: SZA!
The 37-year-old rap legend announced the news in a playful promo shared on social media on Thursday (January 23). In the clip, Kendrick is shown standing on a football field, chatting on his phone about his plans for the big performance. “I’ve been thinking about a guest performer,” he says, just as SZA makes her grand entrance—by dumping a cooler of bright blue drink on him in slow motion.
Fans of the duo have plenty to be excited about, as Kendrick and SZA’s collaborations have been nothing short of iconic. Their 2018 hit “All the Stars,” from the Black Panther soundtrack, earned critical acclaim and became an anthem of its own. SZA featured on Kendrick’s songs “Luther” and “Gloria” from his album GNX, while Kendrick contributed verses to SZA’s “30 for 30” off her album Lana.
With their history of creating chart-topping hits, this pairing promises to bring an unforgettable energy to the halftime show.
