Khloe Kardashian is opening up about her recent health scare.
The 38-year-old The Kardashians star has been photographed out and about with a bandage on her face during many various events. Now, she is explaining that this is because she had a tumor removed from her face after getting checked out by a doctor.
Khloe shared that she noticed “a small bump” on her face and initially thought it was a zit. However, when it was still there seven months later, she had it biopsied.
Two biopsies later, Kyle had to have the tumor taken out.
Outlets reported that the biopsies had tested positive for precancerous melanoma. An LA surgeon removed the tumor and Khloe is now healing.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Khloe said:
“All my margins appear clear and now we are onto the healing process.
You’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indention in my cheek from the tumor being removed).”
She also spoke about why she decided to share her story:
“To reming everyone to get checked, and frequently.
At 19 years old, I had a melanoma on my back, and I had a surgery to remove that as well, so I am precomposed to melanomas. Even those who are not, we should be checking all the time.”
