For the first time since 1978, the annual Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Party has been cancelled.

The famous family are known for their uber extra Christmas Eve bash – last year, the party was hosted by Kourtney Kardashian, and the year before, it was Kim threw the soiree.

However, it appears the ongoing pandemic has prompted the Kardashian-Jenner clan to skip the large gathering this year.

Khloe Kardashian shared the news on Sunday, responding to a fan who asked if they are doing the Christmas Party this year.

“The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year,” Khloe wrote. “It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 I believe. Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must.”

In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe herself revealed that she had tested positive for coronavirus this past spring and had to isolate herself from her two-year-old daughter True.

“I just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room. It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for of couple days, vomiting and shaking and then hot and then cold,” she said on camera.

“I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache. I wouldn’t say it was a migraine,” she says. “The cough in my chest would burn when I would cough. My throat is still not fully recovered, clearly. Let me tell you, that s–t is real. But we’re all going to get through this. I’m praying if we all follow orders and listen, we’re gonna be OK.”

Khloe appears to have since fully recovered, and even attended Kim’s 40th birthday bash at a private island. She had also previously shared that everyone who went on the trip was had all been tested and quarantined prior.
