Kim Kardashian is speaking out about those rumors that she had a hand in Travis Barker’s split with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
ICYMI, Travis is currently dating Kim’s sister Kourtney – the two have been friends and neighbors for years, but their relationship went from platonic to romantic towards the end of 2020. And since going public with their romance in February, the couple haven’t been shy about posting loved-up photos on social media.
However, last week, Shanna alleged that the Blink 182 drummer cheated on her with Kim while they were married, claiming, “Someone sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.” This supposedly happened in 2007, before the Keeping Up With The Kardashians hit the air, during which Travis “didn’t even know Kourtney existed.”
The Blink 182 drummer and Shanna were married from 2004-2008, and she also claims that the alleged affair was one of the reasons their marriage ended, telling Us Weekly, “I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair.”
Kim recently had a Q&A with fans on Instagram Story, during which a fan asked her point blank, “Did you hook up with Travis Barker?”
Her reply? “NO! False Narrative!”
“We’ve been friends for years and I’m so happy for him and Kourt,” she added.
In his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, Travis admitted he found Kim “f—king hot” but he says nothing ended up happening between them. “With Kim, I wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her. It was so weird,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, sources say Travis has been in love with Kourt for the longest time and Shanna’s probably just salty about Travis’ new romance.
“Travis is so not Kim’s type and Travis has been in love with Kourtney for so long, even when they were just friends,” a source tells Entertainment Tonight. “They think Shanna just feels burned by her ex and is saying things out of spite.”
