Divorce rumors are swirling around Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the KKW Beauty founder is considering officially splitting from her husband after months of marriage counseling didn’t make “much headway” in working on their relationship.
“She knows what’s best for her and their kids, so if things ended she would want them to end amicably so they can co-parent together as best as possible,” a source tells the outlet. “They have been living separate lives for months, so any issues they’re having aren’t a surprise to Kim’s family or friends. Kanye has been wanting to make it work, and Kim has tried for so long.”
“Kanye and Kim have been trying to save their marriage but it’s been difficult when he acts out. She is focused on raising her kids and making sure they’re in a safe, stable environment.” The source adds, noting that Kim “has felt overwhelmed trying to take care of him too.”
For months now, Kim has been living in California while Kanye is at their ranch in Wyoming. And they’ve even tried to work on their marriage by getting counseling.
“They’ve been in it for several months but aren’t making much headway. As a couple it seems as the relationship has run its course,” another source tells the outlet. “The couple has tried to work on their relationship for a while but find it hard to get on the same page. They haven’t lived together for some time and have been focused on their separate businesses and work while keeping their children’s happiness at the forefront.”
“Kim and Kanye will forever love one another and will root for each other,” the source explains.
Yet another source tells People that Kim has been getting ready to file the paperwork – and that it could be coming soon.
“He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future,” a source tells People.
“He’s okay. He’s sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon,” the source adds of Kanye.
Page Six also reports that the couple have already begun “settlement talks,” and that “divorce is imminent.”
However, an insider shared that there’s a reason why Kim is holding off on filing the divorce papers.
“It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” the insider tells E! News. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
As for the reason Kim hasn’t filed: “She wants to make sure she’s making the right decision for the kids.”
According to E! News, Kim has seemingly ditched her wedding ring weeks ago – based on her social media posts.
She wasn’t wearing it when the she posted a photo taken during her family’s vacation in Lake Tahoe on December 22. It was also noticeable absent from her left hand in her post for her shapewear line SKIMS on January 5.
Kim and Kanye’s reps are yet to respond to requests for comment. However, Kim recently went on Instagram Stories to share how she’s working to better herself mentally and physically in 2021.
“Sister Boot Camp starts this month! Plant Based and Two workouts a day for 30 days to get our mind and body right for this year!” she wrote on IG Story, sharing videos working out with her personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara.
