For most of us, childhood artworks usually earn a prestigious spot on the fridge door. But, when Kim Kardashian has a proud parent moment, she doesn’t hesitate to share it with her millions of followers on social media. – which is exactly what she did when her 7-year-old daughter, North, did a stunning oil painting of a lakeside landscape backdropped by a mountain.

Sharing a photo of the painting on her Instagram Story, she captioned it, “My little artist North.”

However, much to Kim’s surprise, people on social media began criticizing and questioning whether North actually did the painting, which made Kim go all momma bear mode to stand up for her daughter.

“Don’t play with me when it comes to my children,” Kim began her Instagram Story message.

“My daughter and her best friend have been taking a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are being encouraged and nurtured,” she continued. “North worked incredibly hard on her painting which took several weeks to complete.”

“As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone,” the KKW Beauty founder went on, “I’m seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this!”

Kim also called out the critics for trying to ruin a child’s special moment.

“How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of NOT being awesome!?!?! Please stop embarrassing yourselves with the negativity and allow every child to be great!!!” she wrote.

But it wasn’t all haters – North also got a lot of love from fans, and Kim shared a bunch of their tweets and messages.

“Shout out to all the proud moms out there that love to show their baby’s masterpieces,” she later wrote in another post.

She also shared some of Kanye’s childhood drawings to show that artistic skills run in the family, writing, “Throwback to some of her dad’s artwork that he did when he was a kid.”

It’s not the first time that North has made her mom proud – just last year, she crushed her first public performance rapping at her dad, Kanye’s, show at Paris Fashion Week, which Kim totally gushed about during a Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode.

“To see her up there, I honestly just started crying. Because I’m happy for her, but I’m so nervous for her,” Kim said. “I’m so proud at how confident she is. She obviously gets that from her dad, and it just makes me so happy that she’s not afraid to try anything. That, to me, was just so much fun to see.”

Keep on being awesome, North!
