Last week, eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice that Kim Kardashian posted a new photo on her Instagram with her left ring finger noticeably bare – and this was all before rumors of an impending divorce between the reality star and her husband, Kanye West, made headlines.
Kim later deleted the post – and pretty much laid low on social media as speculations of their potential split swirled.
On Monday (January 11), Kim returned to Instagram with a new post promoting her shapewear line, SKIMS – but still very noticeably absent is her wedding ring.
So, is this an indication that KimYe is, in fact, over? So far, neither Kim nor Kanye have confirmed the split.
Last week, a source told People that Kim was getting ready to file the paperwork – and that it could be coming soon.
“He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future,” the source tells People, adding, “He’s okay. He’s sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon.”
According to Page Six, the couple have already begun “settlement talks,” and that “divorce is imminent” – however, the Calabasas house appears to be an issue.
“Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home. She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They’ve both put a lot of money into renovating it,” the source says.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the KKW Beauty founder is considering officially splitting from her husband after months of marriage counseling didn’t make “much headway” in working on their relationship.
“She knows what’s best for her and their kids, so if things ended she would want them to end amicably so they can co-parent together as best as possible,” a source tells the outlet. “They have been living separate lives for months, so any issues they’re having aren’t a surprise to Kim’s family or friends. Kanye has been wanting to make it work, and Kim has tried for so long.”
“Kanye and Kim have been trying to save their marriage but it’s been difficult when he acts out. She is focused on raising her kids and making sure they’re in a safe, stable environment,” the source adds, noting that Kim “has felt overwhelmed trying to take care of him too.”
Another source previously told the outlet that it’s not looking good for the future of the couple’s marriage.
“Kim has tried everything she can to make things work with Kanye but it’s not working. Kim has held on to the relationship in hopes of a change and for the sake of the kids, but all signs are pointing to divorce,” the source said.
Hoping they’ll be able to figure things out amicably.
