A judge has granted Kim Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single amidst divorce proceedings against Kanye West.

The 41-year-old reality TV star and mogul spoke to the court to give her testimony on Tuesday (March 1) via Zoom. She answered the judge’s lighthearted questions before he then dove into specifics about the divorce case.

Judge Steve Cochran stated that there was special interest in the couple’s four children – North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2 – and asked Kim how they were all dong. She responded:

“Everyone is doing okay.”

She was then asked if she was showering them with affection, and she replied:

“Absolutely.”

Later on, the judge asked Kim if she is having fun with the kids, and she said “so much fun,” noting that four kids is “a lot” but it’s “the best.”

He sweared her in for her testimony, and asked if she had disputes and problems with Kane that led to their separation. To this she said “Yes.”

When he asked her if time and counseling would save their marriage, she said “No.”

He also asked if it is her desire to be granted her legally single by the courts, to which she declared “Yes.”

Kim’s maiden name was restored without opposition. Kim gratefully said at the end of the proceedings:

“Thank you so much, Your Honor.”

Kanye said in a statement to ET:

“I’ve asked my team to expedite the dissolution of my marriage to Kim so I can out my entire attention to our beautiful children.”

The next hearing for their divorce is set for August 5.
