Kim Kardashian & Kanye West’s Divorce Has Been Finalized

Kimye is officially divorced. 

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have settled their divorce, with the former celebrity power couple coming to an agreement on the property as well as child custody issues. They have been going back and forth on these since they announced their divorce in February 2021. 

Reports have it that they have now come to an agreement. 

Child Custody

In their divorce settlement, Kim and Kanye will be getting joint custody with “equal access” to their four kids, North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. 

Outlets report however that despite the “equal access” clause, insiders with direct knowledge say that Kim will have the children for the majority of the time. Kanye previously ackowledged that Kim already has their children 80% of the time. 

Child Support

Kanye will reportedly be paying Kim $200,000 a month in child support. He will also be responsible for 50% of their children’s educational expenses including tuition, and will be responsible for 50% of their security expenses. Kanye’s payment is due on the first day of every month and should be wired to Kim’s account. 

Should the former couple encounter any dispute regarding their kids, they agree to participate in mediation. Failure of one to participate means the other will get to make the decision by default. 

Property Division & Spousal Support

The division of their assets is to be in accordance with their prenup. In their prenup, both Kanye and Kim waived spousal support.
