It’s been a minute since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West officially filed the papers for their divorce and one of Kim’s pals is finally spilling the tea on what she knows. Not just some anonymous ~friend~ either, but Chrissy Teigen!

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Chrissy answered some questions from fans about the couple.

In case you didn’t know, Chrissy and her husband John Legend aare pretty tight with Kim and Kanye – tight like going on double dates together and stuff. There were some public disagreements over Kanye’s support of a certain former president that John didn’t agree with back in 2018, but it looks like things have been good since.

“I will say I have definitely been in touch with Kim more than John [Legend] has been in touch with Kanye,” Chrissy shared. “If anyone knows Kanye, it’s that he goes off the grid. It’s hard to ever contact Kanye, but Kim is doing OK.”

“I know Kim gave her all, gave her everything and it’s honestly a shame that it didn’t work out, because I saw them being a forever relationship, I really did,” she added. “But I know she tried her best.”

Kim filed her divorce petition almost two months ago, on February 19, listing the irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. She’s also asking for joint legal and physical custody of their four children.

Ye filed his response to Kim’s divorce petition on Friday (April 9), also requesting for joint custody of their four children – seven-year-old North, five-year-old Saint, three-year-old Chicago and one-year-old Psalm. He likewise listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce as well as asked to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support and attorney’s fees to either party.

There’s been some speculations about how they will be divvying up their properties – particularly, their home in Calabasas. Kim reportedly wants to keep it for the sake of their kids, but it also happens to be Kanye’s passion project – he helped design the interiors.

Although sources say neither is planning to contest their prenup and they are already in the process of reaching a property settlement agreement, one major difference in their divorce filings is that Kim referred to their prenup in her filing, while Kanye said separate property is TBD according to proof at time of trial or settlement.

After a tumultuous 2020, split speculations began swirled around the couple in January of this year –  which was finally confirmed when Kim officially filed for divorce from her husband of almost seven years in mid-February.

When it comes to their children, however, sources say Kim and Kanye are on the same page – and are both committed to co-parenting.

Kim and Kanye are yet to publicly speak out about their split.
