Kylie Jenner just proved that one can turn a thirst trap photo into a political statement.

Earlier this week, the Kylie Cosmetics founder went on Instagram to share a couple of bikini photos, which was captioned, “but are you registered to vote? click the link in my bio.. let’s make a plan to vote together 🤍🤍” – the link provided led to the website Vote.org, which is a resource for voters for information as well as a place for eligible voters to register, if they haven’t already.

According to TMZ, Kylie’s post helped give the site a big boost in traffic – the post reportedly raised the traffic to the website via IG by 1500%, and also saw an 80% increase in the total use of voter registration and verification tools from compared to 24 hours prior.

The outlet reports that the number of users using the registration verification tool went from 2,900 on Sunday (September 27) to approximated 48,000 on Monday – after Kylie shared her post with her over 200 million followers.

Back in June, Kylie also reminded her followers to go out and vote during primary elections in Washington DC, New Mexico, South Dakota, Montana, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island.

“Today is a primary voting day in many states,” she wrote at the time. “They want people to be distracted and not to show up. If you live in one of the 9 states holding elections today, vote out the people who do not align with your beliefs if you want real change.”

She added, “Voting is open today in Washington DC, New Mexico, South Dakota, Montana, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island.”

The make-up mogul captioned the message, urging, “To all my followers please go and vote‼️‼️”

However, despite Kylie going all political about people voting in the upcoming election, she hasn’t publicly voiced support for a presidential candidate.
