LaKeith Stanfield is sharing some details about his personal life.

The 31-year-old Oscar-nominated actor, who is best known for his work in Get Out as well as Judas and the Black Messiah, has announced that he is engaged to Kasmere Trice.

He took to social media to share the happy news, announcing the engagement on his Instagram account over New Year’s weekend. Kasmere also shared the news on her socials on December 30.

Also over New Year’s weekend, Tylor Hurd shared a video to Instagram showing her and LaKeith spending time with their newborn baby. She captioned her post:

“Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022 <3  meet Apollo Stanfield.”

LaKeith then wrote a sarcastic comment on Tylor’s post:

“Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.”

Tylor responded to LaKeith’s comment:

“Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? You value your privacy but your gf post (sic) everything y’all do lol okay.”

To this, LaKeith addressed her claim that he “lied to people” about her and their baby:

“I never once in my life said she wasn’t my baby. I hope this does whatever it was supposed to for you… my adult relationship privacy and children are two different things. I’m sure you realize that.”

Later on, Tylor released a statement on her Instagram Stories saying that she did not share her post as a response to LaKeith’s engagement announcement:

“Just to clear a few things up, I’m not jealous that he’s engaged to a woman he’s known for 5 months. I tried to meet the girl and everything and she ignored me when I tried. What I’m upset about is that he’s made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life and has been actively ignoring me when I’m trying to figure things out for our child. And those clips of him and her together are all I have in general cause he barely sees her.”
