Lana Condor had many of us in our feels by the time Valentine’s Day rolled around – but, apparently, her real-life romance recently had an OMG moment.
While fans are happy to finally find out what happens to Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky’s (Noah Centineo) onscreen romance in the final instalment of the To All The Boys trilogy, many also wondered what romantic Vday celebrations are in store for the rom-com leading lady IRL – including Jimmy Fallon.
So, when Lana appeared on The Tonight Show last week, Jimmy asked about her plans with real-life long-time boyfriend Anthony De La Torre.
Apparently, Anthony, who happens to be uber supportive of Lana’s career btw, “truly forgot” that the romantic holiday was coming up.
“I mentioned to Anthony the other day, I was like, ‘Hey, baby. Like it’s kind of cute. Like Valentine’s Day is coming up really soon. Like, this weekend,'” she told the host, revealing, “And he truly forgot. Truly did not remember. There was nothing there. He was like, ‘Uh, oh. No, no, no.'”
“So, yeah. When you asked me if I have plans, I feel like probably no,” Lana laughingly added.
Lana’s latest film, To All The Boys: Always and Forever, dropped a few days before Valentine’s Day – and you better believe girl was busy as a bee IRL on Valentine’s weekend. Can anyone blame Anthony for forgetting?
Jimmy totally called out Anthony on air to get it together in time for Sunday (February 14). And, don’t worry, it seems like he listened, too, because he posted an uber sweet message for Lana on Instagram on the Day Of Hearts.
“Lana, you have never been more beautiful than right now. Not only have you not changed in the course of the last 3 years, but the best aspects of you have only grown. You deserve this and so much more. You are the hardest worker in the room. Watching how much you’ve poured yourself into your work the last few years has inspired me more than you’ll ever know. Now it’s time to relax and do nothing for a few days 😍I love you,” he began his message.
He also gave a shoutout to Lana’s co-star, Noah, TATB author Jenny Han, as well as all the fans.
“Thank you to @ncentineo for being the perfect PK to Lanas LJ and for just being a good dude. I’m so happy and grateful for you man 💙 Thank you to every single fan of To All The Boys. It has been a beautiful thing to watch the person I love have their dreams come true. it wouldn’t have happened without you guys. That said, Lana has previously shared that what kind of love language she really appreciates – something Anthony has totally nailed.
“Anthony, every night or every morning, folds my PJs and tucks them under my pillow so that I don’t have to go looking for them,” Lana revealed in Self magazine’s February issue. “That to me is the biggest expression of love. That’s so much better than, I don’t know, a hot air balloon.”
