Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are opening up about their relationship and what the public has been saying about their romance.
The 48-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star and the 32-year-old former UFC Knights player are doing promotion for their new podcast, and the couple spoke about the big age gap between them. They also commented on the accusations going around that Larsa is a gold digger.
In case you didn’t know, Marcus is the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, and Larsa is the ex-wife of Michael’s former teammate Scottie Pippen.
Speaking to E! News, Marcus said:
“I let people that are misinformed be misinformed. I feel like people see our last names and immediately want to have some sort of reaction or opinion.
But I feel like as people get to know us and understand our situations more, they’re way more happy for us and just want to see us to live in our truths and be happy.”
Larsa stated:
“People just want to see you happy and there’s just a few people who are just miserable. They just wanna have some negative input on things.
But I think overall, I feel like people that know us, love us, want us to be happy.”
The pair responded to accusations that Larsa is just after Marcus’ family money, with Larsa telling Page Six:
“I feel like the money thing is annoying.”
Marcus went on to say:
“Yeah, I feel like people try to say Larsa’s a gold digger and she’s after the Jordan money or something… She’s such an independent, career-driven woman. She’s got it going on… It’s the one comment or commentary that I’ve got to refrain from commenting back on.”
