A Leonardo DiCaprio artwork has found itself a major buyer!

Someone shelled out a lot of money to acquire a painting of the 48-year-old super star during a live auction at a Cannes Film Festival charity event.

The Oscar-winning actor was in attendance at the auction and witnessed his portrait sell for a whopping $1.3M at the auction held at the 2023 amfAR Cannes Gala at the Hotel duCap-Eden-Roc in Cap d-Antibes, France on Thursday (May 25).

Leo did not walk the red carpet. He kept a low profile and donned a baseball cap inside the black-tie event. Joining him was his mother Irmelin, who dazzled in a yellow dress.

The portrait that was auctioned off was a painting made by Damien Hirst. The famous artist had been commissioned to do a painting of Leo. This painting was sold to a private collector, who donated it to afAR.
