Liam Payne, the 29-year-old pop artist known for “Strip That Down,” has shared some details about his health situation. He made an announcement on Friday, August 25th, revealing that due to spending a week in the hospital, he’s had to delay a planned tour of South America.
Using social media as his platform, Liam conveyed the events that unfolded, shedding light on the necessity of his medical attention. He also expressed a sincere apology to all those who were eagerly anticipating his upcoming performances.
Liam’s words on platform X were:
“It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.”
The reason behind this postponement is a serious kidney infection that led him to be hospitalized. He articulated:
“Over the past week I’ve been in the hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.”
He conveyed his immense excitement about the prospect of entertaining his fans:
“I was beyond excited to come play for you guys.”
Rest assured, though, Liam isn’t leaving his fans hanging. He assured them that he’s actively working on rescheduling the shows. Additionally, he wanted to make it clear that anyone who wishes to do so can get a refund for their tickets from the point of purchase. Detailed information regarding the new show dates and the refund process will be provided shortly.
In signing off, Liam left these words:
“Thanks as always for the love and support, and look forward to seeing you soon.”
Liam recently hit a milestone by celebrating six months of sobriety in July. Moreover, he was spotted on vacation later in the same month, enjoying his time off with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. Notably, he wasn’t alone during the getaway; he was joined by Paul Wesley and his girlfriend Natalie Kuckenburg.
Our thoughts are with Liam as we wish him a swift and successful recovery.
