Little Mix will be one member short for a little bit longer.
The girl group, comprised of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thrilwal and Jesy Nelson, hosted and performed at the MTV EMAs as a trio earlier this month – Jesy had to skip it due to health reason.
She also missed out on the finale of Little Mix: The Search, which aired on November 7 – and fans have definitely noticed her absence.
“Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of ‘Little Mix The Search,’” a group spokesperson had said at the time. “She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs.”
The group recently released a statement informing everyone that Jesy is taking an extended break to heal.
“Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons. We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time,” Little Mix said in the statement, via their publicist Simon Jones PR.
Sending well-wishes Jesy’s way.
Little Mix has just released their sixth studio album, Confetti. However, it’s unclear how Jesy’s hiatus will affect their future engagements. The group’s agency, Modest Management, is yet to respond to requests for comments.
