News Flash: Lizzo isn’t trying to fit into anyone’s ideal body type but hers.

Lizzo’s been using her platform to speak about loving your body. And on Tuesday (June 9), she went on TikTok and shared a video of her work out routine along with a message for those who constantly criticize her weight.

The “Truth Hurts” singer captioned the video with this: “if you’re not a fat shamer… keep scrolling… ok now that all the fat shamers are here 🧚🏾‍♀️✨.”

The video features her riding a stationary bicycle, doing squats, jumping rope, and appreciating her curves in front of the mirror.

“So I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years. And it may come as a surprise to y’all that I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type. And you know what type that is? None of f–king business, because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job,” she said.

“So next time you want to come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies or eat McDonald’s, or workout or not workout, how about you look at your own f–king self and worry about your own goddamn body? Because health is not just determined on what you look like on the outside. Health is also what happens on the inside. And a lot of y’all need to do a f–king cleanse for your insides. Namaste, have a great day.”

She also shared a clip of herself watching a TikTok video of a dad and his two sons’ reaction to a troll’s comment that namedropped the GRAMMY-winning singer.

“Your son really needs to go and at least exercise, he’s gonna be the next Lizzo if he doesn’t,” the comment read.

Well, it seems those guys were actually all for that and totally cheered, which got the Cuz I Love You singer smiling. And Lizzo also appeared to address the comment her caption, casually flexing, “Oh u mean the next million dollar dealin’, cover of Vogue havin’, 3x Grammy award winning, icon, actress, activist, [with] a perfect a–?”

This isn’t the first time that she’s been mentioned in comments that talk about weight. But Lizzo isn’t fazed one bit – she actually thanked them for putting her name out there because of this:

“Every time there is a big girl on this app, I find that people always put my name in the comments,” she said in another TikTok video posted a few days earlier. “And to the people who always be putting my name in the comments, THANK YOU!”

“If every time you see a big girl on this app, loving on herself and putting herself out there and being confident and loving her body, you think of me, or you think she looks like me, b–ch, that is a what? Compliment,” she went on.

“That means I’m out here doing what I’m supposed to be doing,” Lizzo continued. “Letting you b–ches know that next time you try to make fun of a woman for her body, or her size, that, b–ch, we out here and we don’t give a f–k.”
