Madelaine Petsch has got her Riverdale co-star Vanessa Morgan’s back.
Vanessa, who plays Toni Topaz on the series, recently announced that she was expecting her first child, sharing photos and videos from her gender reveal celebration. She also revealed in one of the photos that she found out that she was pregnant on May 20.
A few days later after her pregnancy announcement, news broke that Vanessa’s husband, Michael Kopech, has filed for divorce from the actress after five months of marriage.
When one Instagram user commented on Vanessa’s post, “Don’t disrespect our pitcher like that,” Madeleine clapped back at the snappy comment with, ““Honestly if I see one more comment like this I’ll lose it. Vanessa is a beautiful mother to be and the hate and disrespect I’m seeing on this post about her bringing a new life into this world is disgusting.”
According to the Chicago Tribune, Michael filed the documents on June 19, in his hometown of Morris County, Texas.
Vanessa and Michael went Instagram official in July 2018 – and were engaged a year later. They tied the knot in January of this year. Her Riverdale co-star, Madeleine, was one of the bridesmaids. Skeet Ulrich and Drew Ray Tanner were also in attendance.
Fans have noticed Michael has been missing from her social media for a while – her last post with Michael was on May 1st, for his birthday. She also did not mention Michael in her pregnancy announcement.
