Yes, he IS the father — but no, it looks like he’s not supporting his son.
Maralee Nichols, who is the mother of Tristan Thompson’s third child, has revealed that Tristan has not been giving her financial assistance for their baby.
If you can recall, in December last year the bombshell news came out that Maralee was pregnant with Tristan’s son. The revelation came about when she filed a lawsuit against him. Just after news broke, Maralee gave birth.
Tristan was still dating Khloe Kardashian, with whom he shares a daughter, at the time his child with Maralee was conceived. A paternity test confirmed that he is the father.
A tabloid then reported that the 30-year-old NBA player would have to shell out $120,000 a month in child support.
Now, Maralee has released a statement declaring that Tristan has not held up his end of the bargain. The statement via Maralee’s rep said:
“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son.
He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance.
