Jennifer Lopez and ex-hubby Marc Anthony may no longer be together, but they still “have each other’s backs.”
ICYMI, J.Lo and Alex Rodriguez recently called off their engagement. They had been together for four years – two of them engaged. But she’s reportedly been “doing well” following the breakup.
“Jennifer is doing well. She is still filming in the Dominican Republic. The kids have visited her and they make her the happiest,” an insider tells People.
Other sources say that her “great relationship” with her ex-husband has allowed her to lean on him on matters of “parenting, personal matters, or their careers.”
Marc and J.Lo were married from 2004 to 2014. They continue to remain close and successfully co-parent their children, 13-year-old twins Max and Emme, which has reportedly been a huge comfort for Jennifer since she’s been working abroad filming a new movie amid all the drama surrounding her personal life.
“Jennifer makes it a point to have cordial relationships, especially with Marc since he is the father of her children,” a source tells Entertainment Tonight, adding, “Jennifer and Marc have a friendship and are supportive of each other whether it comes to parenting, personal matters or their careers.
“They have each other’s backs,” the source continued.
Another source tells People, “Jennifer and Marc Anthony have a great relationship. Having Marc around while she has had to work abroad has been very comforting for Jennifer.”
To give an idea of how good their relationship is post-split, just earlier this month, Marc was giving J.Lo major props during an interview.
“The thing about Jennifer is her ability to see and understand things before they happen,” he told InStyle. Before she even brings an idea up, she has visualized it a thousand times. And if anyone says it might not be the greatest idea, she’ll say, ‘You just don’t see it yet.’ Nine times out of 10, she’ll nail it.”
He also praised her work ethic. “She’s the first one in the room and the last to leave. The hardest worker I’ve ever met,” he shared with the magazine. “When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since. I learned so much from her. She’s the original!”
