Megan Fox’s Britney Spears Impression Will Make Your Day

Megan Fox has been listening to Britney Spears so much, she’s got her Britney impersonation down to a T.

The actress, who happens to have a fear of flying, and her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker) have been spotted packing on the PDA in different cities across the country over the past few months – from New York to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and most recently, Jacksonville, Florida. While the two appears to have become a jetsetting couple, it could also mean Megan has been doing her flight ritual on the regular. Add to the Megan’s past experience of having to fly for work on a weekly basis.

Megan appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show Thursday (May 6), where she gave an impromptu musical performance ala Britney Spears – and her renditions were so on-point.

Opening up about her fear of flying, she told the host, “I was like, ‘I’m kind of pushing the statistics now because i’m flying so often. And that’s where the fear came from because it’s like, yeah if you fly twice a year you’re good but not if you’re flying like twice a week.”

She also shared that when hitting turbulence makes her lose her cool, she blasts some Britney songs on her headphones. “What I did and what I do recommend to people if you hit turbulence and you’re like, ‘I don’t like how this feels,’ I would throw on certain music that I just knew I wasn’t gonna die to, which, for me that was Britney Spears, like the archives from when I was young.”

So, why Britney?

“That’s not the soundtrack to my death. So, that always made me feel better,” she continued. “You’re not gonna meet God on a like, ‘Oh baby, baby,’ and then you’re dead and you know all the mysteries of the universe in that moment. So for me, that was really helpful.”

She also sang “I’m not a girl, not yet a women” in Brit’s signature high-pitched tone – and nailed it.

FYI, Megan has been doing this flight ritual for well over a decade. She’s actually talked about it before, in a 2009 interview with Conan O’Brien.

“I know for a fact it’s not in my destiny to die listening to a Britney Spears album, so I always put that on in my [headphones] when I’m flying because I know it won’t crash if I’ve got Britney on,” she told him at the time.

That said, Megan recommends sticking to upbeat music. Aside from Britney, she’s also got the Backstreet Boys and “It’s Raining Men” by the Weather Girls on her playlist. Probably best to do away with the more morose tunes.
