Megan Thee Stallion is taking the stand.
On Tuesday (December 13), the 27-year-old rapper testified in the trial against Tory Lanez, who has been accused of shooting the “WAP” rapper. The shooting allegedly happened during a roadside dispute following a party at the Hollywood home of Kylie Jenner.
Megan gave an emotional testimony on the stand, telling the jury in downtown Los Angeles that she did not feel good and reportedly saying:
“I can’t believe I have to come up here and do this.”
In her testimony, Meg alleged that her ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris and Tory began to fight as they were in the car. This prompted Meg to alight the vehicle.
She recounted that as she started to walk, she heard Tory allegedly say “Dance b*tch” as he pointed his gun at her. He then shot her, and she said that she began to go into shock.
Meg alleged that as sirens approached, Tory told her:
“Don’t say anything and I’ll give you a million dollars.”
He also allegedly told her he was already on probation. She stated that she remembered thinking at the time how he seemed more concerned with going back to jail than the fact that he shot her.
She also stated that she never saw Kelsey with a gun.
Prior to Meg’s testimony, Tory arrived at the courthouse with his son for Day 2 of the trial. Prosecutors state that Tory fired the gun. Tory’s legal counsel however has pointed the finger at Kelsey, claiming the she fought with Meg that evening.
Reports have it that Tory and Kelsey both tested positive for gunshot residue. The trial is still ongoing.
