Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved into their new family home.
A spokesperson for the royal couple confirmed that they have moved out of Tyler Perry’s eight-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, which they were renting, and into their new digs.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July of this year,” the spokesperson said, adding, “They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as for them as a family.”
According to Page Six, the royal couple bought a private family home in Santa Barbara.
News of their move follows repeated incidents of privacy problems in their rented home – despite the
Last month, Prince Harry and Meghan filed a complaint at a Los Angeles court due to alleged “serial intrusions on the privacy of a 14-month-old child in his own home,” per documents obtained by Fox News. The docs also state that the complaint was file in addition to “the desire and responsibility of any parent to do what is necessary to protect their children from this manufactured feeding frenzy.”
Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan saw a photo of their son, Archie, being offered to media outlets. The photo was purportedly taken on a family outing in Malibu. However, the concerned parents say it was shot – without their knowledge – while Archie was in their yard.
“Every individual and family member in California is guaranteed by law the right to privacy in their home. No drones, helicopters or telephoto lenses can take away that right,” the couple’s attorney, Michael Kump said in a statement. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are filing this lawsuit to protect their young son’s right to privacy in their home without intrusion by photographers, and to uncover and stop those who seek to profit from these illegal actions.”
Back in May, the Duke and Duchess have had problems with uninvited and unwanted flying visitors on their property – drones!
The Daily Beast reported at the time that reports of low-flying drones on their property have been made to the Los Angeles Police Department on five separate occasions.
A source also told Entertainment Tonight that the presence of the drones has them concerned for their family’s safety.
“They don’t know who’s flying them. They assume it’s probably photographers, but they can’t be sure of that assumption,” the source told the outlet. It is really creepy that people could be taking photos. They feel like they’re being invaded. It’s especially scary when they’re outside with Archie. It’s really scary.”
