Meghan Trainor isn’t holding back when it comes to her health journey.
The 31-year-old singer, who was recently honored as a Hitmaker at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event, took to Instagram to share her frustration about the focus on her appearance rather than her career milestones.
“Feeling so honored to be recognized by @billboard Women in Music as a Hitmaker—what a dream! But it’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry,” she wrote.
Meghan then addressed the speculation about her weight loss, confirming that she had used the medication Mounjaro to assist her after her second pregnancy.
“No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
Mounjaro, similar to Ozempic, is a medication designed to help with weight management, often prescribed for those with diabetes or metabolic conditions.
By sharing her experience, Meghan is joining a growing list of celebrities openly discussing weight loss medications and the pressure placed on women’s bodies in the entertainment industry. Her message? Health and happiness should always come first.
