Michael B. Jordan is a class act.

The 36-year-old star came face to face on the red carpet with a blast from his high school past – a former school mate who bullied him back in the day.

Morning Hustle host Lore’l interviewed Michael at the Creed III premiere, the highly anticipated new film which he stars in alongside Jonathan Majors.

In an episode of her podcast titled Undressing Room, Lore’l said that she knew Michael from school. In the podcast, she not only shared that she knew Michael from way back when — she also revealed that she and her friends would make fun of his name ‘because he was no Michael Jordan.’ Yikes. She also called him ‘a nice, corny guy.’ Here’s excerpts of what she said:

“You know what’s crazy? I went to school with Michael B. Jordan at a point in life.

And to be honest with you, we teased him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan.

And he wold also come to school with a headshot. We lived in Newark, that’s the hood. We would make fun of him like, ‘What you gonna do with your stupid headshot?’ And now look at him!”

The actor clearly got wind of what she said on the podcast, and it made for an awkward encounter at the premiere.

Lore’l stopped Michael on the red carpet, saying:

“We go way back, all the way back to chad Science [Academy’ in Newark.”

Michael responded:

“Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?”

She tried to laugh off the situation, stating she was ‘misquoted,’ but he replied with a slight smile:

“I heard it.”

At the end of the encounter, she called out to him:

“Well, you’re not corny anymore.”

Fans were vocal in their admiration of how Michael handled the situation. He showed what a true class act he truly is, handling that situation with grace.
