Many celebrities have taken to social media to continue entertaining fans from the safety of their home during the coronavirus outbreak – from reading children’s stories and TikTok videos to musical performances, talk shows, and more.

Michael Buble and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, have been holding livestreams on social media every day to entertain their fans.

Fans watching them, however, began expressing concern for her after criticizing Michael’s behavior towards Luisana in the videos – one much-talked about instance was when Michael seemingly elbowed Luisana after she started speaking over him, which appeared to prompt her to apologize to him as he pulled her arm closer.

In an Instagram post, written in Spanish, she addressed their critics and expressed disappointment at how “media outlets with ill intentions are posting without knowing anything about our family” and shared that she has “no doubts about who my husband is and that I would chose him again a thousand times over!”

“It’s incredible how some people are!,” her post reads. “While we are in the middle of a pandemic, living under a quarantine with angst, fear, loneliness, and uncertainty of all kinds! We come out every day with my husband to try to do [Instagram] lives to bring a little bit of happiness, entertainment, longing.”

“After all the pain that we experienced with [our son], I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is,” she continues. “I would choose him again a thousand times over! It’s not fair! This person is causing harm and taking advantage of this pandemic where people are suffering, dying and under quarantine, to gain fame and followers. They are sharing lies and that I will not allow because they are disrespecting my family, so I ask all of you who have trusted me for years to not allow this either! The world needs more than ever love, hope, values unity and solidarity. Not this kind of person.”

She also addressed the situation in a video (also in Spanish), thanking fans for their concern and reassuring them she was not a victim of an abusive marriage.

“I’ve seen your messages over the weekend and I am very thankful. Thank you for worrying. It’s very important that we pay attention to these problems that have been mentioned and that I am lucky not to suffer. But it is important to pay attention to be able to help women that are going through it. Thank you. But it’s not in my case.”

Michael’s rep also issued a statement to People: “There will be no further commenting on this ridiculous allegation. All anyone needs to do is see them together on Facebook Live every day. They are equal and loving partners and treat each other with the greatest respect. They are a beautiful couple.”
