Michelle Branch is reportedly facing some legal issues.
It is being reported that the 39-year-old “Everywhere” singer was arrested by authors earlier this week. She was arrested for domestic violence against her estranged husband, Patrick Carney.
News outlets said that authorities were called to her home in Nashville early Thursday morning (August 11) for possible domestic violence. Court documents alleged that Michelle admitted to hitting the 42-year-old Black Keys musician on the face. She reportedly owned up to slapping him “one to two times.”
Michelle was arrested and booked, and then released later in the day after she posted bail of $1,000.
The news of her arrest followed her announcement that she and Patrick are ending their marriage after three years. In a statement at the time, Michelle said:
“To say that I am totally devastated doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel for myself and for my family.”
She then tweeted a note revealing that Patrick cheated on her while she was home with their daughter, six-month-old Willie. She has since deleted the tweet.
Michelle has a hearing set for November 7, 2022 for her charge of domestic assault by offensive/provocative conduct.
