Miley Cyrus is stepping into a new artistic era — and it’s shaping up to be one of her boldest yet.

On May 22, the multi-hyphenate superstar dropped the official trailer for her upcoming visual album, Something Beautiful. The teaser gives fans a first look at what’s being described as “a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience, featuring 13 original songs from the new album.” If the trailer is anything to go by, this project is about to deliver a heady mix of striking visuals, experimental sound, and signature Miley energy.

The film will premiere globally at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 6, before hitting theaters for special one-night-only screenings across North America on June 12. International fans won’t have to wait too long — Something Beautiful will roll out globally on June 27 through Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision.

In a statement accompanying the trailer, Miley opened up about the vision behind the project and the team who helped bring it to life.

“Something Beautiful is my dream project come true — fashion, film and original music coexisting in harmony. My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: from the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema’s most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality,” she said.

The trailer is a fast-moving, mood-drenched mix of surreal scenes and dramatic fashion moments, set to a few tantalizing seconds of new tracks. Whether it’s sweeping landscapes, cinematic lighting, or Miley’s signature vocal stylings, the entire package feels like a high-concept dream sequence.

It’s not the first time Miley’s pushed creative boundaries. From her genre-hopping albums to her live performances, she’s always been one to blend music with visual storytelling — but this might be her most ambitious project to date. And judging by the buzz already building online, fans are ready for it.
