Miley Cyrus is clearing the air after some fans accused her of being less than friendly at a recent meet-and-greet event in London.

The 31-year-old singer was in town to celebrate the release of her track “Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved,” taken from her latest album Something Beautiful. The single features a special guest—supermodel Naomi Campbell—who also showed up at the Rough Trade event on Saturday, June 21, to sign vinyl copies alongside Cyrus.

The mood, however, turned sour on social media afterwards, as some attendees complained that Miley and Naomi seemed more interested in chatting with each other than engaging with fans who had waited in line.

In response to the backlash, Miley took to Instagram on June 25 to thank everyone who showed up—and to offer some behind-the-scenes context.

“I saw so many familiar faces & met some sweet new ones,” she wrote. “The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out but we knew the night needed to be captured… To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you.”

Miley didn’t address the criticism directly, but her message clearly aimed to show appreciation for her fanbase and the chaos of the night.

Naomi also shared a heartfelt post, standing by Miley and celebrating the night’s energy.

“Thank you for having me by your side to celebrate the Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved vinyl release in London,” she wrote. “What a joy to spend the night with you in my hometown – your energy is infectious, your memory and graciousness is unreal with our fans, you had me laughing all night.”

She added, “To everyone who came out to the signing: thank you. We felt your love and adored meeting you.”

Despite the online murmurs, both stars seem focused on the fans who showed up and the joy of sharing this musical moment together. It might not have gone perfectly, but Miley and Naomi’s messages are clear: the love was felt, even if the logistics didn’t go to plan.
