Millie Bobby Brown reveals she learned her American accent by watching Miley Cyrus growing up.

Apparently, Millie, who’s from the U.K. is a huge fan of Miley’s since way back in her Disney days – yep, the Stranger Things star was totally a Hannah Montana fan.

“The only way I got my American accent was by watching Hannah Montana,” Millie told Miley when she joined her for a chat on Miley’s new Instagram Live series Bright Minded.

“I’m surprised you don’t have a country accent!” Miley jokingly responded.

“I was actually just going through my camera roll and I saw a video of me in a cowboy hat and I was learning ‘Hoedown Throwdown,'” Millie recalled. “Full-on, knew every single dance move. I was obsessed.”

Millie also shared that Miley was one of her inspirations to go into acting.

“I wanted your job. I didn’t know how to get your job, but I was like, ‘I want to be like Hannah Montana. I don’t know how to do it,'” she explained. “Then I realized it was an actual job and I was like, ‘Oh, I want to do that! That sounds fun.’ I didn’t even know you could get money for it. I was like, ‘I’ll do it for free.'”

“I love that story so much,” Miley gushed. “That is hilarious.”

Miley also recently had Selma Blair on her show.

Selma, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, revealed that staying in isolation isn’t new to her – she’s pretty much been in isolation for the past two years amid her various medical treatments in her battle against MS. And she’s taking this time to spend more time with her son.

When their conversation turned to the coronavirus crisis affecting the world, Miley asked if she had any advice for those who may be “receiving medical news that can immediately feel terrifying.”

“This moment is what we have, [even when] we hope for more,” she began.

“How we show our grace and being there for our loved ones with keeping ourselves strong…has helped me…Be open, but also really take this opportunity to be the best you you can be, to help your days along,” she shared.
