Miranda Kerr and Katy Perry’s relationship has been quite the inspo when it comes to blended families.
Quick recap: Miranda and Orlando Bloom were married from 2010 to 2013. They share a son together – 9-year-old Flynn. Miranda has since remarried, tying the knot with Snapchat co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel in 2017, and went on to have two children with him 2-year-old Hart and 1-year-old Myles. Orlando on the other hand, is engaged to Katy, and recently welcomed their first child together – daughter Daisy Dove Bloom.
Miranda congratulated her ex-husband and his fiancée on their first child together. “💖🙏🏻🌈 I’m so happy for you guys,” she commented on Katy’s post on the birth announcement. “Can’t wait to meet her 💖🙏🏻🌈.”
And when Katy was gearing up to go to work after giving birth, Miranda also showed the new mom some support.
“MUTHA MILKS is back to werk @americanidol and it’s 🍼udderly🍼 ridiculously MOO-ving already! 🐄 Not pictured: my pumping breaks,” Katy wrote on Instagram.
“Omg you’re amazing! Love you,” Miranda commented with a pink heart emoji.
When the model-turned-entrepreneur appeared on Drew Barrymore’s talk show on Friday (November 20), Drew totally gave her props for being “so positive and such an amazing example” of how women should be.
Miranda says she couldn’t be happier for her ex-husband and his new family, noting that ultimately, it’s all about what’s best for Flynn.
“I adore Katy and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy,” she replied. “Because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing.”
“I’m just so grateful that Orlando and Katy found each other, and I’m so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other,” she continued. “When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises [about] what is the best for our whole family.”
“We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that’s the most important thing,” she added.
