It’s only been six weeks since Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, but the new momma is already hard at work on the new season of American Idol.
On her first day back on the set, she wore a black-and-white cow print-esque Christian Siriano gown – and she posted the striking ensemble on her Instagram.
“MUTHA MILKS is back to werk @americanidol and it’s 🍼udderly🍼 ridiculously MOO-ving already! 🐄 Not pictured: my pumping breaks,” Katy captioned her post.
Orlando’s ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, showed Katy some love, hopping on the comments to write, “Omg you’re amazing! Love you,” with a pink heart emoji.
Fans are totally digging the rapport between the two women.
“I just love the support and great relationship between the two of you. Your children will benefit from this. Much love to you both ❤️🔥” on fan commented.
“I love how they love each other,” another wrote.
Orlando and Miranda were married from 2010 to 2013 and share a son together – nine-year-old Flynn. Miranda is now married to Snapchat co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel. They have two sons together 2-year-old Hart and 1-year-old Myles.
Last week, Katy opened up about delving into the life of a working mom – while she’s excited to inspire another round of hopefuls to go after their dreams, she also admitted that being away from her baby girl is “hard”
“It’s amazing. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and for this job, and to be able to continue to inspire other people to go after their dreams,” Katy told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, my life just feels very full and whole. And you know, it’s hard a little bit these first couple of days away and not being able to be there.”
Fortunately, Orlando’s got things covered.
“But Daddy’s doing a great job. Daddy has stepped in,” Katy added. “I’ve seen the Bjorn on him, I’ve seen him with the bottle, I’ve seen all the pictures. It’s all good.”
