Nick Carter, the 43-year-old Backstreet Boys singer, is currently facing a third sexual assault lawsuit, and it’s not looking good for him.
Fresh court documents were dropped on August 28, 2023, and they’re pointing fingers at Nick for alleged incidents way back in 2003 when he was just 23. The accuser, using the pseudonym “AR,” was only 15 at the time, and she’s claiming that Nick didn’t treat her right. She alleges not only sexual assault but also that Nick infected her with HPV.
The lawsuit isn’t mincing words. It says Nick “knowingly engaged” in “sexual acts” without her consent. AR’s story doesn’t stop there. She recalls another unsettling encounter, alleging that three other men were present, watching while she and Nick were getting intimate. She says she kept saying “no,” but Nick didn’t take the hint.
AR is seeking $15,000 in damages, citing a laundry list of troubles, including “emotional distress, physical anguish, intimacy issues, and other complex trauma.”
Naturally, this lawsuit has Nick’s legal team in action. They promptly issued a statement to People magazine, firing back at AR’s claims. They’re making it clear that these allegations are old news and that they were investigated and dismissed in the past.
Nick’s lawyer, Dale Hayes, put it like this:
“When A.R. first accused Nick Carter almost two decades ago, authorities listened and thoroughly investigated – and then informed A.R. that her allegations were meritless. And now she’s at it yet again. But repeating the same false allegations in a new legal complaint doesn’t make them any more true. Nick is looking forward to the evidence being presented and the truth about these malicious schemes coming to light.”
It’s a pretty strong statement, and it’s evident that Nick’s legal team is not taking these accusations lightly.
This latest lawsuit is surfacing shortly after Nick scored a legal victory in a different case brought by another accuser. But clearly, Nick’s legal battles seem far from over.
Nick’s legal team is vehemently denying these new allegations, pointing out that similar claims were previously investigated and dismissed. This lawsuit follows Nick’s recent legal win against another accuser, and the saga continues.
