Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter and his wife Lauren Kitt have welcomed their newest bundle of joy – their third child!
“We are proud to announce that our baby has officially arrived,” Nick tweeted on Thursday (April 22), along with a prayer hands emoji.
However, it appears the baby’s arrival didn’t go as smoothly as they hoped.
“But as a parent knows all to very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it,” he continued, sharing, “We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.”
He followed it up with a tweet thanking fans for their support.
“I wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers and good thoughts during this time. We will keep you updated,” he wrote.
His tweets come after he went on Instagram Wednesday (April 21) and shared a photo of himself in a hospital gown and mask looking pretty upset.
“Yes I’m a believer. I ask god to give us strength to protect mommy and baby. 🙏🏻 #fatherhood #prayers,” he captioned the shot.
Nick and Lauren are already parents to five-year-old son Odin and one-year-old daughter Saoirse.
They announced they were expecting their third child in January of this year.
