Nick Jonas is spilling more tea on about his recent on-set accident – and it looks like one of his brothers may have “helped in the injury.”

Last week, multiple reports came out that Nick was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance following an accident on the set of an upcoming project. Nick later revealed that he’d sustained “a cracked rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises” while he and his brothers were filming their upcoming TV special Olympic Dreams, where they competed against each other in a series of athletic events.

When the Jonas Brothers made an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the injury was also a hot topic in the conversation.

“We were shooting this thing and we had a bit of a tumble on a bike and I landed pretty hard,” Nick said. “It was brutal.”

“Kevin also ran into you as well,” Joe chimed in.

“Yeah, he did,” Nick agreed.

“I may have also helped in the injury,” Kevin admitted. However, he says they “haven’t seen the footage yet,” jokingly adding, “We’re not so sure if Joe just didn’t kick us on the side just to make sure.”

However, Nick revealed Kevin still played an important role in the situation – calling his wife Priyanka Chopra to let her know what happened.

“It was a test of a lot of things. Trust, I think, is the biggest thing,” Nick said.

“Basically I was there and the medics were attending to me. I was about to put on the gurney to get in the ambulance. Obviously, I had to call Priyanka [Chopra], my wife, to say, ‘This has happened,’ but I wasn’t really in a spot where I could talk to her because they were doing all the things they were doing,” Nick explained. “So it was a choice between Joe and Kevin. Who [do] you give your phone to to call your wife in a time of crisis? I gave it to Kevin.”

“It’s kind of telling,” Kevin said with a smile, before sharing his thoughts on why he thinks Nick decided to trust him at that moment.

“I was really calm and collected,” he explained. “I think it has something to do with being a father and seeing children fall all the time.”

Kevin and wife Danielle are parents to two young children – seven-year-old Alena and four-year-old Valentina.

“I love how he’s equated my rib breaking and the whole thing to kids falling,” Nick quipped.

“Well, they fall on their bikes. It’s a big deal in the moment, but it’s like, if you get freaked out, then they get more freaked out, so I try to stay extremely calm,” Kevin said.

“I have the same emotional maturity as his 5-year-old,” Nick jokingly responded.

While Nick is still recovering from his injuries, he opened up about being “surprised at how good I feel.”

“I’m feeling amazing,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “… Right after it happened I had to be OK because I was doing The Voice and a couple other things. It just somehow healed up pretty fast.”

He’d actually gone back to work just couple of days after the accident, sitting on his coach’s chair on The Voice. By the next weekend, he and his brothers hit the stage together for the first time in over a year to perform at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

“I’m feeling really lucky. It probably could’ve been a little worse. All is good. I’m recovering nicely,” he shares with the outlet.

“I’ve got a lot of support around me and I appreciate everyone’s well wishes,” he added. “It means a lot.”

Wishing Nick a speedy full recovery!
