There’s a sweet tradition happening in the Saturday Night Live host dressing room that don’t make it to the cameras – and Nick Jonas just took part in it.
It all started when Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy hosted the show in the beginning of February. He ended his stint by writing a welcome note of support on a piece of sticky paper and left it on the dressing room mirror for Regina King, who was set to host the how the week after.
“Regina, You got this! Much love, Dan,” the note read.
When Regina’s turn to host the show came, she shared a mirror selfie with the sweet note on her Instagram Story, and thanked Dan.
“Awww. You’re the best @instadanjlevy You crushed it!” she wrote on her IG Story.
Apparently, it inspired her to pay the kindness forward, and left a note for the next host, too – Regé-Jean Page.
When Regé made his hosting debut, he also shared a mirror selfie – this time with Regina’s note stuck on the dressing room mirror.
“Regé-Jean, You got next and you are going to be amazing!!!” Regina wrote on the note, adding, “I’m a big fan” before signing it.
Regé responded in kind, captioning his IG story, “Thank you @iamreginaking The feeling is very mutual.”
And when Nick’s turn came on Saturday (February 27), he shared his own mirror selfie with Regé’s sticky note.
“Just have the best time Nick!” the Bridgerton star wrote.
“That’s the plan! Thanks for the note @regejean,” Nick wrote alongside the photo.
How cute is this tradition?
Now, it’s still not sure if Nick has kept this new tradition alive – but hopefully when SNL alum Maya Rudolph makes her return to Studio 8H on March 27, she’ll find a sweet welcome note from the Jonas brother. And fingers crossed she’ll share it on social media as well.
Cheers to spreading kindness!
