Nicki Minaj and husband Kenneth Petty are parents to a baby boy!
On September 30, reports came out that the 37-year-rapper has given birth to her first child. However, the couple hasn’t made any announcements regarding the baby’s arrival – until now.
Nicki took to Instagram on Thursday (October 15) to thank her celeb pals like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West and more for the thoughtful gifts they sent.
“Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” she captioned a slideshow of the note cards that came with the gifts. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
Beyonce wrote, “Onika, welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family,” simply signing it with “B.”
Kim and Kanye note read, “Congrats! We love you!”
Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci, also congratulated the new mom and wished her family “health and happiness.”
Model Winnie Harlow expressed her happiness at the “healthy delivery of your first bundle of joy” and sent “blessings and prayers” Nicki’s way as she embarks on her “new journey” as a mom.
Nick has been pretty vocal about her desire to be a mom. Back in 2012, she told Complex that she’d like to be married and have kids within 10 years.
“In 2022, I’ll definitely be married and I’ll definitely have my two children,” she predicted. “OK, I might have three.”
Nicki and Kenneth tied the knot back in October 21, 2019, and the queen of the Barbz previously shared that they’ve been talking about starting a family.
“We practice all the time, like, you know, three times a night,” she told Entertainment Tonight last October at the launch party for her Fendi capsule collection, Fendi Prints On.
Nicki announced she was pregnant in July, dropping photos of her baby bump on Instagram, which were taken by photographer David LaChappelle.
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she wrote in one of the posts at the time.
