Noah Schnapp has come out as gay.
The 18-year-old actor, who is best known as Will Byers on Netflix’s Stranger Things, took to social media to finally confirm his sexuality to fans for the first time.
He posted a video on his TikTok account on Thursday afternoon (January 5). In the video, he lip-synched to someone saying:
“You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.”
Noah wrote as a caption in the video:
“When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.’”
He also captioned the post:
“I guess I’m more similar to will than I thought.”
As Stranger Things fans know, Noah’s character Will Byers was confirmed to be gay after season 4 was released in July 2022.
