Offset has something to admit.
The 31-year-old rapper is addressing the rumor that Cardi B had been unfaithful to him — a rumor that he himself started earlier this summer.
In case you missed it, back in June Cardi took to social media to put her husband on blast after he stated that she “f**ked” another man in a post he shared online.
Just before the couple dropped their new song “Jealousy” recently, Cardi denied the rumor that she and Offset made up the cheating rumors for publicity and to promote their upcoming track.
But now, Offset has admitted that he lied about Cardi cheating on him.
In an appearance on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, Offset said that Cardi “got crazy at the mouth a little bit” as they were talking that evening months ago. He stated:
“I was really lit that night. I was lit. I had a little Casamigos [tequila].
We were going back and forth, and I was like, ‘Watch this.’”
He went on to say that he did not feel the need to set the record straight because he deleted his initial post, explaining:
“At the end of the day, them people don’t be really knowing what’s going on with us for real. They always attacking. Like, it’ll be straight lies or something. It’ll just be attacking.”
Offset said that he and his wife were “crazy for each other” and that he loves her:
“If you got a New York woman, you know she’s a pit bull at the mouth.”
