Orlando Bloom is so looking forward to welcoming his and Katy Perry’s baby girl!
As a refresher, when Katy dropped the music video for her track “Never Worn White” in March, she also gave fans a sweet surprise – she and fiancé Orlando Bloom are pregnant!
The couple is expecting their first child together sometime this summer – a baby girl. The 43-year-old actor is already dad to nine-year-old son, Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and he’s also very excited to welcome a daughter.
“I’ve been feeling very grateful, obviously, I have a little baby girl on the way,” he gushed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he guested on the show Tuesday (August 11). “I’m so excited to have a little daddy’s girl. I hope she’s going to love me as much as I love her. That daddy girl thing and that love of your life feeling is right around there.”
Even Flynn is uber excited to meet his baby sister.
“I’ve got a 9-year-old boy. He’s got a couple of other brothers but this is his first sister so he’s excited too,” Orlando shared about Flynn (Miranda has two sons with husband Evan Spiegel). “It’s exciting times.”
In the meantime, Orlando and Flynn have been getting in some dad-and-son bonding while building Lego sets during their “hours of quarantine.”
“I was working a lot and I’ve found some real solace. I think it’s a reset,” he says of quarantining. “Perhaps we all needed a chance to reflect on what’s important and what we’ve been doing. I just hope that we can keep that thinking, that thinking can continue on.”
Katy has previously opened up about her pregnancy journey on the July 20 episode of KIIS1065’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show.
She says she’s at that point in her pregnancy where “everything is swollen.”
“My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell,” she said. She also jokingly referred to herself as “large marge in charge.”
But, all in all, Katy seems to be taking her pregnancy journey very well. “I’m really grateful for my body,” she shared. “Going through this process you get a whole new viewpoint.”
And she’s not letting it slow her down either. “I’m a very active woman… and during this time of COVID — and quite frankly an American revolution — I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record,” Katy said. “I’m working really hard. The one blessing is I don’t have to travel extremely.”
