Paris Jackson is getting candid about her personal life.
In a recent episode of her new Facebook Watch series, Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn, which also stars her boyfriend Gabe, Paris opened up about her sexuality, saying she identifies as gay.
“I thought I’d end up marrying a chick. …I’ve dated more women than men, been with more chicks,” she revealed. “The public only knows about three long-term relationships I’ve been with and they’ve been with men. The public doesn’t know about, like, most of the relationships I’ve been in.”
Paris and Gabe, who also happens to be her Soundflower bandmate, have been dating for over a year – since March 2019. Although Paris admits she “never thought [she’d] end up with a dude,” she also says the gender of her partner has never really been her focus.
“I say I’m gay because I guess I am, but I wouldn’t consider myself bisexual because I’ve dated more than just men and women, I’ve dated a man that had a vagina,” she explains. “It has nothing to do with what’s in your pants. It has nothing to do with your XY chromosome makeup. It’s literally just like what are you like as a person.”
She also shared how her dad, the late Michael Jackson, had “caught on quick” about the types of people she was attracted to – and would even tease her about it when she was growing up.
“I think he felt the energy and he would tease me the same way he’d tease my brothers, like, ‘You got yourself a girlfriend!’ if I were staring at a magazine of a woman too hard,” she recalls. “I’m very lucky to have that, especially so young, eight or nine. Not many children have that experience.”
Paris and Gabe’s Facebook Watch series drops new episodes every Tuesday, with the finale on August 4.
As for her other projects, Paris will be playing an interesting role in an upcoming film, which also stars Bella Thorne and Gavin Rossdale.
Back in April, it was announced that the 22-year-old singer, actress and model has been cast to play the role of Jesus in the film Habit. According to a press release, the film is about “a street smart, party girl with a Jesus fetish” who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a nun.
Paris’ co-star Bella is listed as one of the executive producers of the film. The release date is yet to be announced, but according to Habit’s IMDB page, the film is currently in post-production status.
However, there’s a petition on Change.org that’s seeking to block the distribution of what it deems is a “blasphemous Hollywood film” – and more than 270,000 people have signed it!
Paris and Bella’s reps are yet to respond to requests for comments.
