Best Movies Of 2018
Looking for the year’s best big-screen offerings? We’ve got them right here. (And PS – in a year filled with excellent features and top-notch entertainment, it was quite the challenge to narrow it down to just 10!)
At number 8…
We’ve got the Greg Berlanti-helmed Love, Simon. Based on the novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, the movie stars Nick Robinson, Josh Duhamel, and Jennifer Garner, and tells the poignant story of a gay teen falling in love – a coming-of-age charmer that beautifully hits a long-overdue and much welcome milestone of inclusion.
At number 5…
A long way down the road, when we look back at 2018, this movie will always come to mind. You know what we’re talkin’ about – Avengers: Infinity War. Years and years of Marvel films built up to this opus. And it did not disappoint. Seeing everything come together, and magnificently fall apart, gave us all the chills – and we can’t wait for its epic conclusion, Avengers: Endgame in 2019!
And at number 2…
Holding the second spot is the film that the whole world went absolutely crazy over. Based on the novel of the same name by Kevin Kwan, Crazy Rich Asians redefined the Hollywood rom-com scene , becoming the first movie by a major Hollywood studio to feature a majority Asian American cast in a modern setting since 1993’s The Joy Luck Club. A satisfying step forward in Asian representation, and a romantic comedy that people will rave about for generations to come.
