Meghan Markle is about to give birth really soon. And, in preparation for their baby’s arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have gotten bigger digs.
The royal couple have reportedly moved out of their 2-bedroom home in Kensington Palace and into a 10-bedroom cottage “a stone’s throw” away from Windsor castle, where Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, resides.
Their new home is a charming little cottage called Frogmore Cottage, a gift from Harry’s grandmother, the Queen. The home features extensive gardens and lots of room, should Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, like to pay an extended visit to see her grandchild.
According to the source, Meghan has also had the cottage remodeled, adding in everything from double panel windows and noise proofing, to two conservatory extensions, a new kitchen and several fireplaces.
Ahead of moving into a new home, Prince Harry and Meghan also moved their social media presence into a new Instagram account, @sussexroyal.
Since royals don’t really have their own personal IG accounts, the couple previously shared @kensingtonroyal with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The couple shared photos from their travels, and also wrote a welcome note for followers.
“Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues,” the caption read. “We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal. – Harry & Meghan”
According to the Guinness World Records, the new account broke a world record for the amount of time it took them to amass 1 Million followers.
“Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, whose new @instagram account sussexroyal reached one million followers in less than 6 hours,” Guinness World Records’ official Twitter account wrote.
