Quinta Brunson and Kevin Anik are officially going their separate ways.
The Abbott Elementary creator and star, 35, has filed for divorce from her husband, citing irreconcilable differences, according to legal documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, as reported by TMZ.
The couple, who have been notoriously private about their relationship, married in 2021 after getting engaged in July 2020. Despite their years together, they largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, rarely sharing details publicly or posting about each other on social media.
Quinta and Kevin’s split appears to be a straightforward legal process. The couple reportedly has a postnuptial agreement, and Quinta has requested that the court divide their property accordingly. Additionally, since they do not have children together, there are no custody agreements to be settled.
While neither Quinta nor Kevin has publicly commented on the divorce, their decision to keep things private is in line with how they’ve handled their relationship from the start. Even at the height of Quinta’s Abbott Elementary success, she has kept her personal life separate from her growing Hollywood career.
Despite personal changes in her life, Quinta continues to dominate the entertainment industry. The Emmy-winning actress, writer, and producer has a packed schedule ahead, with multiple projects lined up.
Most recently, she was announced as a guest star in the final season of Big Mouth, the hit animated Netflix series known for its hilarious and candid take on adolescence. This marks yet another exciting venture for Quinta, who has seamlessly expanded her talents beyond Abbott Elementary.
While this chapter of Quinta’s personal life is coming to an end, her professional momentum shows no signs of slowing down. As Abbott Elementary remains a fan favorite and new projects continue rolling in, she’s proving that she’s just getting started.
For now, Quinta Brunson remains focused on what she does best—creating, storytelling, and making audiences laugh.
