Rihanna is going to be a mom! The music powerhouse is expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
The 33-year-old singer confirmed the joyful news over the weekend by proudly showing off her baby bump — and Riri was positively glowing!
Rihanna was photographed in a pink coat and jeans with her bare baby bump out on display while out and about with A$AP. The two were holding hands while out on a walk in his hometown of Harlem in New York.
A source has revealed that the pair feel very blessed that they are about to have a baby together. The source stated that Rihanna and A$AP already considered themselves as a family, and that having a baby just makes that bond so much more stronger:
“They enjoyed keeping the pregnancy a secret for as long as they could, but they’re thrilled to be able to share the news with their fans.”
Another source dished that the couple specifically wanted to shoot their pregnancy announcement in Harlem as that is where A$AP grew up and the location brings both of them much comfort:
“They feel really at home in Harlem. His upbringing in Harlem shaped so much of who he is — and it hasn’t always been easy.
This was a happy milestone and it felt right to shoot the photos where it all started.”
The source added that Rihanna wanted to share this amazing news on her terms, saying of the morning shoot:
“They are such night owls, but they wanted to shoot these pics discreetly.
It was important for Rihanna to make this announcement on her terms. She really couldn’t hide it any longer.”
In 2018, Rihanna spoke about the kind of mother she would be:
“I’m not gonna be able to take my eyes off my kid. I know that already about myself. They’re going to have to force me to hire a nanny.”
She’s been very vocal in the past about wanting to have children!
Rihanna and A$AP have been together since 2020. In May last year, the 33-year-old rapper called her the love of his life:
“Relationships are so much better when you got The One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones.
I think when you know, you know. She’s the one.”
