Rihanna is about to become a mother of two!
The 34-year-old singer is expecting her second child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. The happy news was confirmed after her Super Bowl performance on Sunday (February 12).
Fans began to speculate that Rihanna was pregnant again after they caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a baby bump during her highly-anticipated performance. And after the show, her rep confirmed the pregnancy to news outlets.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already proud parents to a nine-month-old baby boy.
In an interview that took place ahead of her halftime show, the Grammy winner revealed that she first had second thoughts about performing at the Super Bowl – but motherhood inspired her to perform at the big game:
“I was like, ‘You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this.
When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything. And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was…there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all,” she said. “It’s important for my son to see that.”
