Rihanna has been sparking dating speculations with A$AP Rocky since January of this year. And it looks like the romance rumors are heating up!
ICYMI, in January, news broke that Rihanna and Hassan Jameel split after dating for three years. Since Rih is super private and doesn’t really dish much on her personal life, no one really knows when it happened. According to a People source, however, the reason for the break up was because “their lives were too different and it was hard to maintain a relationship.”
When Rihanna attended the 2020 Yams Day Benefit Concert at New York City’s Barclays Center, she was spotted hanging out with her pals A$AP Rocky and Drake.
At first, no one would think twice about it – Rih and A$AP Rocky have been pals for a while, and they’ve hung out loads of times. Just last year, they were both in Paris for Fashion Week in June, then he attended her Diamond Ball in September. They even walked the red carpet together at The Fashion Awards in London in December. However, according to an Us Weekly report, apparently, Rih and A$AP Rocky have a bit of a history – they were allegedly seen kissing off-screen on the set of their music video “Fashion Killa” in 2013.
Following their evening out at the Yams Day Benefit Concert, a source also told E! that she was still single. However, sources told The Sun that there might be a little somethin’ somethin’ going on between and her longtime pal A$AP.
“They shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York,” a source said. “However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan. They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days.”
“It’s really casual between them and she’s not thinking about whether there’s a future with Rocky,” the source continued. “She’s a newly-single girl having fun.”
But fans couldn’t help but notice sparks flying when A$AP Rocky starred in a campaign for Rih’s skincare line, Fenty Skin, and they did a bunch of press together.
And when A$AP talked about the hardest part of working with Riri during their GQ interview at the time, he kinda sorta may have implied that he reaaally enoys spending time with her.
“I think the hardest part about working with you is not goofin’ off and laughing the whole time. Like this s— is comedy,” he said. “That’s the hardest part. You know, people be so cool it’s hard not to, not to laugh. That’s all. But it was fun. The hardest part is not having too much fun. You just forget that it’s still work at the end of the day.”
10 months since they started sparking dating speculations and the romance rumors are showing no signs of cooling down.
Page Six reports that the 32-year-old “Diamonds” singer and the 32-year-old rapper were spotted having dinner over the weekend. The two hit up the Beatrice Inn in New York City with some friends.
And, a source has confirmed to People that the two music stars are indeed a couple.
So, is there “Love On The Brain”? Well, Rih is super private, it’s highly unlikely that she’ll be commenting on the reports on her love life anytime soon.
